Lower Extremity Assessment & Treatment Strategy + NFL Protocols

Richard Hazel uses a unique style of acupuncture that relies heavily on knowledge of neurology and sports medicine. He was one of very few people to learn Motor Point Acupuncture at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York where he completed his Master of Science in Acupuncture, Orthopedic & Sports Medicine.

We are lucky to have him back from 23rd October – 25th October 2020 in Amsterdam!

If you’ve taken a Motor Point Acupuncture seminar with Richard, please note that the intro lecture in 2020 is very different and filled with important information that you likely haven’t learned from any other MPA seminar anywhere.

In addition, we are thrilled to have Dan Dominguez teach a full day of his favorite protocols using electric stimulation acupuncture he uses in the NFL when he treats the Buffalo Bills for their have acute injuries.

So who is this seminar for?

This seminar is for qualified practitioners who are focused on treating acute or chronic pains and who work with professional or amateur athletes that would like to increase their performance and get reliable and measurable results!

Motor Point Acupuncture is highly effective and can produce fast and lasting results in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.

This will be a 3 day seminar packed with awesome information!

Proper assessment for the hip and lower leg is essential when treating athletes. Poor ankle mobility, proprioception and stability impacts the entire body. Poor hip mobility and stability also impacts the entire body. Poor breathing mechanics impact the entire body.

This seminar will assume some knowledge of anatomy so that we can get further into the actions of the muscles. We will send you a link to where you can review the anatomy listed.

About the speakers

Richard Hazel received his Master of Science in Acupuncture – Orthopedic & Sports Medicine at Pacific College in New York. The program focused on the location and treatment of motor points for the treatment pain and improved neuromuscular function. Richard has also studied Neurofunctional Electric Stimulation Acupuncture under Dan Wunderlich, LAc  and the theories and methods of Dr. C C Gunn and Dr. Janet Travell. Richard’s private practice in NY focuses on treating chronic pains and injuries and improving performance by assessing muscle imbalances and decreased range of motion. He gets excellent results with only a few treatments necessary by keeping the focus on restoring the function of the limbs, joints or spinal segments, instead of attempting to merely treat local pain.

Dan Dominguez is a distinctive force of nature for Buffalo’s orthopedic and athletic scene. A long history and devotion to sports medicine has helped Dan hone his craft of acupuncture and motor point therapy and provide the most specialized care for his professional and amateur athletes.
